CERA is the Prime consultant on this project, leading a multi-disciplinary team to provide Phase I & II engineering services for design of EVOC training facility track at the State Police training facility in Pawnee, Illinois. CERA provided oversight and direction of all aspects of the project, including coordination with IDOT and Illinois State Police. We directed the civil engineering work, including drainage, geometrics, and grading. The CERA team worked with the client on conceptual objectives to create as realistic of a training environment as practical for the State of Illinois including urban and rural roadways and intersections and a railroad crossing. Oversight included all aspects of safety for the highspeed roadway loop to ensure the errant vehicles had recovery zone and safety measures to protect trainees.
